I am so disappointed. I don't know why, but I'm just not feeling it. I wouldn't go off my rating though because I've read so many 4- and 5-star reviews for this book. It wasn't bad, just okay for me.
2.5 stars. It was good, but I wished it was a full length story rather than Novella length. If there was more back story and enough time for these two to fall in love, it would've been great :0)
Hmm. I was hoping for it to give me some feels, but it fell short. The story was good and I liked it, but I was expecting something heart wrenching (especially with that synopsis) scenes like Sheehan's stuff. If it was a longer book with more details of the main characters trials and tribulations, it could've easily been four stars.
These books are so damn addicting. Every book in this series so far, I read them in one sitting - from a little after midnight to approx three am. So tired, but the books are so good. A little like Stephanie Plum except her two main squeezes are half brothers. Eek.
Damn. So bittersweet. Loved it like I knew I would. So sad that the series is done.... I just absolutely LOVED the epilogue.
1.5 stars :-/It wasn't realistic. I'm a stickler on books needing to portray a real life situation correctly. As in this case, the protocol on how the cops, the media, and, if needed, the FBI, would handle this high profile kidnapping was... lacking. The details were limited and what was handled in this book seemed so blasé. Same with the mothers attitude. Some points, many points really, in the book, she did not seem to .... Portray a character whose devastated by her children's disappearance. I don't know. Wasn't my cup of coffee sadly. Wasn't bad, I just need more realistic details and more developed characters.
It was not like I thought it would be. At all. Too light for me and also read a bit like YA - no smut!
