What The Smut

I read. Like, a lot.

Unteachable

Unteachable - Leah Raeder 3.5 stars. I thought the story was good. The smut was... missing a little, in my opinion, BUT.... it was the prose that got me. It was beautifully written. The descriptions, thoughts, comparisons, metaphors, similes -whatever- it was all beautifully written.

Dark Wings (The Never Dark, #1)

Dark Wings (The Never Dark, #1) - Skyla Madi 2.5 stars :0)

King Hall

King Hall - Scarlett Dawn I really enjoyed this. Had high hopes when starting and it came through. The only thing I feel it's missing is descriptive smut, lol. It reads like YA. Love the action and the world building. Character development was awesome. I had LOL moments. It was great.

Seize Me (Breakneck, #1)

Seize Me (Breakneck, #1) - Crystal Spears I like the story, but there were many aspects to this book I didn't enjoy such as physical abuse and drug use. It is what it is though and I enjoyed the book overall :0)

Come Away With Me (With Me in Seattle, #1)

Come Away With Me (With Me in Seattle, #1) - Kristen Proby 3.5 stars? I liked it. This was my second time trying to finish it. I guess I wasn't in the mood for it the first time I tried to read it. Couldn't finish it then, but I really want to read book 4, so I had to try again. Not bad at all. It was engaging. I read it easily enough in a couple of hours. I like the no-nonsense and no ridiculous drama aspect to it. The relationship was realistic and she was a strong heroine and he was... Somewhat alpha. It was nice!

Escape from Paradise

Escape from Paradise - Gwendolyn Field Wow. This book was done right and it was awesome. Loved it! It was realistic and I loved the characters. I definitely recommend it to fans of darker tastes :0)

Never Deal with Dragons

Never Deal with Dragons - Lorenda Christensen I really liked the world that was built in this story. It was very different and I love dragon stories! There was a lot of action, but not enough smut sadly. Still a great book. Trian... yum.

Killing Sarai (Killing Sarai, #1)

Killing Sarai (Killing Sarai, #1) - J.A. Redmerski Eek. The cliffhangers! Not a huge one in this one, and technically not a real cliffhanger, but ack, she leaves you wanting more. And then, as if THAT wasn't enough, she gives you a little teaser for The Edge of Always too. That just about killed me.

Bishop's Angel

Bishop's Angel - Tory Richards 2.5 stars. I rarely like short novels, but this one was nice :0)

Spiral

Spiral - Mila Ferrera Wow. It got so damn emotional towards the end.Okay, I really thought, in the beginning, this was just like any other NA. The more successful hot guy, the girl who's floundering around and here he comes on his white steed. He helps her out, becomes a valuable resource for her to become successful... yadda, yadda, yadda. But towards the end, she literally becomes the strong one - mentally - in the relationship. It was sad, the reason why, but urgh. I just can't get over the way the relationship turned out and how the author went this way with the book.It was just awesome. I loved it and it was different and... yeah. It's definitely not your average fluffy novel.

Sizzle (Bad Boy Rockers, #1)

Sizzle (Bad Boy Rockers, #1) - Lexi Buchanan 2.5 stars.

Love Square (Love Square, #1)

Love Square (Love Square, #1) - Jessica Ingro 2.5 stars. The ending redeemed it and I will continue with the series. I'm not one to shy away about any topic whether its Stockholm syndrome, rape, cheating, etc. In this book, there's cheating. Lots and lots of cheating and it just didn't work for me in this book. Maybe because I didn't love the characters as much? If we started 16 years ago, back when two of the characters initially met, and developed the relationship and characters from there.... Maybe I would be more emotionally invested in this book. I think with these touchy topics, you really have to emotionally carve a hole out of the readers heart, otherwise it's just ... Meh.

Game of Temptation

Game of Temptation - Anda J Santoso 2.5 Stars :0)

A Humble Heart

A Humble Heart (Hollywood Hearts #1) - R.L. Mathewson This was cute and beautiful. It was straightforward. No nonsense, frustration, or drama. Woot! And besides, it's R.L. Mathewson's book!

Thief (Love Me With Lies, #3)

Thief (Love Me With Lies, #3) - Tarryn Fisher This continues to be my ONE of my favorite series of all time. The way Tarryn writes really gets to you. Ugh, this book gave me so many feels. I'm heartbroken & happy at the same time. I love Tarryn's writing and story-telling. It's so raw and real. There's nothing like it.

Viper

Viper - Patricia A. Rasey 3.5 Stars.I really enjoyed the book up until the ending. It was left in an awkward spot. I know that there are more books, most likely, coming in the series that will continue this story, but I feel that things should have been wrapped up a little better in this book.I did enjoy the whole vampire + motorcycle club angle though :0) But at times, I do wish he was a bit more alpha and that his Prez patch held a little more power because it wasn't as "hard" as the club could have come across as. I don't know. The more bad ass, the better it is, right?!
